Role-Based Society

Hi! It’s been awhile …. missed you all!

I took some time off to focus on career and loved ones.
And to be honest … sometimes I worry my social media image could impact my corporate career …. Has anyone else ever felt the pressures of a ‘Role Based Society’?

Looking back realizing not much has changed (including my taste in jumpsuits) 😂

But seriously; recently a follower informed me that “I needed to grow up & do what adults do – get married & have kids.”

What do ya’ll think of that comment? Does growing up in today’s society mean marriage & kids?

Having a background in Engineering made me start to do a little research and after a quick google search here is what I found:

So there you have it! Statistics that dis-prove society’s judgement.

But are single, childless women really the happiest?
I don’t think that is what constitutes happiness. Happiness is found in the everyday little things … count your blessings and appreciate the little moments, because one day you’ll look back and realize these were the big things.

Pet peeve of mine is when people tell you how you should be living.

Sounds to me the person who said that remark about how you should be married have insecurities about how your securities.

Marriage should only be done when two love each other and not because they think society demands they be married.

That person was jealous of your choices but I and all of your true friends admire and respect your decisions.

I am sure the company you work for appreciates your intelligence and your goal setting life like the way you compete in being physically fit and how you show people one can be happy no matter if they are single or married. There are probably a lot of men and women you work with who are single who need reassurance. Your social media life gives them validation.

    Your friend always,
    Mark
